I have a new favourite author. Her name is Francesca Lia Block and she is magical.
I recently finished her very first novel Weetzie Bat and am currently reading the second book in the series, Witch Baby. I discovered her books while reading an interview with Stephanie Perkins, author of two adorable novels, Anna and the French Kiss and Lola and the Boy Next Door. She was asked what her absolute favourite book is and she said without a doubt, WEETZIE BAT. So I really didn't have much of a choice but to get my hands on a copy as fast as possible.
"A kiss about apple pie a la mode with the vanilla creaminess melting in the pie heat. A kiss about chocolate, when you haven't eaten chocolate in a year. A kiss about palm trees speeding by, trailing pink clouds when you drive down the Strip sizzling with champagne. A kiss about spotlights fanning the sky and the swollen sea spilling like tears all over your legs."

Funny. Your weblog is called 'HoneysuckleWeeks.blogspot.com' but you posted no columns featuring Honeysuckle Weeks. So, you could be Honeysuckle Weeks herself, but you call yourself Danica. It's all very confusing. Can you enlighten me?
